Edgar Allan Poe National Historic Site Philadelphia PA
Maintained by the National Park Service, Edgar Allan Poe’s historic home can be viewed within walking distance of the restaurants and shopping center of downtown Philadelphia P.A. Outside of the three story red brick building; resting upon a 4x4 steel column sits the large statue of a Raven. At midday the Raven, with wings spread wide, casts its shadow across the brick wall of the house. I couldn’t miss the opportunity to get a picture of this image while on a short stay in the city of brotherly love.
